MOVIE: DEAD MAN RUNNING STARRING 50 CENT & DANNY DYER

Generous: Footballer Rio Ferdinand funded the film

Man United and England footballer Rio Ferdinand

Dead Man Running http://www.deadmanrunning.com/ is the newest gangster flick to come out of the UK.  The film which stars 50cent, Danny Dyer, Tamar Hassan and Monet Mazur has been funded by England footballers Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole.  The film was funded on the basis that jobs were given to 12 selected youngsters from Rio Ferdinand charity "Live The Dream Foundation"

The 12, all in their teens or early 20s, were part of Ferdinand's Live The Dream Foundation, which offers education, training and job opportunities in sport and the arts.

Now Ferdinand, 30, and his fellow investor, England team-mate Ashley Cole, are looking forward to seeing the £2.5million London-based movie at tomorrow's premiere.

The film stars Tamer Hassan as an ex-convict who has 24 hours to pay back a villainous loan shark, played by US rapper 50 Cent.

Ferdinand said: 'Three have been told they will be involved in the next film because of their hard work and tenacity.'

It was Hassan who got Rio involved in financing the film - the two of them grew up on the same estate in South London.

'Tamer's people knew my dad when he was a bouncer,' he said.

'I kept in contact and saw his acting career take off and a while back he asked me if I wanted to get involved in a film.(SOURCE)
