X FACTOR: JANET JACKSON AND LADY GAGA

Lady Gaga  Janet Jackson

Lady Gaga and Janet Jackson

X Factor have got me more interested in the special guests they have performing than the actual so-called talent.  This years show has been so wack in terms of the contestants they have on the show.  They have only produced two outstanding winners from the series since it started, namely Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke.  This year we have been forced to watch the likes of those awful twins "Beavis and Butthead" (aka John and Edward) and the other acts are so boring, I can't remember their names, even Simon Cowell called one singer a "book end" lol

However the showa producers have been pulling out all the stops with the selection of already established artists performing on the show.  The have called in the "big guns" and have managed to snag the likes of Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Michael Buble, Alicia Keys, Robbie Williams and former X Factor winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke.  After these acts have performed, I switched over my t.v, as watching this years contestants is like "stabbing myself in the eye with a pin". I had high hopes for this years show, after finding incredible talent like Leona and Alexandra the show seems to have taken a step back by putting forward sub-standard singers who will crash and burn when they enter the real world of the music industry against the likes of the above mentioned guests that have been invited to perform on the show.  Can you see Stacey outselling Rhianna? Can you see Olly beating Michael Buble to the number one slot? HELL NO.

So, once again I watched this show with anticipation for the invited guests and not the contestants.  Thankfully this was the shows only saving grace, as I saw true creative talent show these below par singers how its done.  A legend in the making and a true Icon in every sense of the word KILLED their performances with a high octane  show.  Lady Gaga and Janet Jackson were this weeks special guest and they did not disappoint.  Lady Gaga, never one to do a standard show, chose another crazy outfit accompanied by exotic dancers and stage setting.  She performed her new single "Bad Romance" who's video I feel real "Kanye" about (Lady Gaga's video has to be the greatest of all time! Well maybe of this year lol)

Not to be outdone, the legend herself Miss Janet "Nasty" Jackson, took to the stage and performed a medley of her old track "All For You" mixed with her latest single "Make Me". Although her stage outfit was a little odd, Janet showed she still "had it" as she "locked and poped" with her dancers, showing the world "YEAH, I STILL GOT IT B@TCHES!"

Check out the performances and photos below.
