MICHAEL JACKSON MEMORIAL DETAILS

Legendary popstar Michael Jackson is to be laid to rest today. His family have arranged for a private ceremony at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles. It has not been confirmed if he will be buried or cremated.
A public memorial will take place at The Staples Arena in Los Angeles at 10am (18.00 UK time) today. The memorial will be televised on CNN, an event that will see hoards of fans come to pay their respects to the star. As many as 700,000 are said to make their way to the memorial. Fans from all over the world are expected to show up, airlines have said that sales for air travel to Los Angeles have been fully booked. 11,000 tickets for the event were given away in a lottery style selection. Fans who registered for tickets were told via email if they had been chosen to attend the event.
Former Motown label mate and singing legend Stevie Wonder, will be singing a tribute to the star. Other celebrities that will be appearing will be Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Usher, Jenifer Hudson, Chris Tucker, Brooke Shields, Berry Gordy, Magic Johnson, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Elizabeth Taylor, Kobe Bryant plus many more.
In related news, "Britain’s Got Talent" star Shaheen Jafargholi has also been selected to perform at the memorial service. The young Welsh singer apparently impressed Michael with his rendition of "Who's Loving You", a hit that was made famous by Michael and his brothers The Jackson 5.
