Brit fashion designer Henry Holland has partnered with Pretty Polly to design a hosiery range for a/w 09 through his House of Holland label. The quirky collection of sheer and opaque tights launches exclusively at Selfridges in London on August 13 for two weeks, after which it rolls out in stores nationwide.
Samantha Taylor, Selfridges Hosiery Buyer, says, 'This summer, sales of opaque tights have been particularly strong, up around 50% on 2008. Women are adapting their wardrobes to the unpredictable British weather, mixing summer outfits with tights.
Henry Holland’s Pretty Polly collection couldn’t be launching at a better time, with more unsettled weather to come.'
Gail Newport, Pretty Polly Marketing Manager, adds, 'Henry created a cutting edge collection that will set hosiery trends for this autumn, he is both inspirational and focused on delivering products that will appeal to our market.'
These tights will be fun fun fun. I love the fact that Henry isnt a designer afraid of colour. He knows how to work with a colour palette really well without making it look like his clothing has just been regurgitated on lol
