AZAELIA BANKS BOYCOTTS DOLCE & GABANNA FOR "MAMMIE" EARRINGS.

Azealia Banks "Luxury"
Here we go again, first Vogue Italia and their photo story on "ethnic slave" jewellery, then Dutch magazine "Jackies" photo story entitled "De NiggaBitch" (apparently inspired by Rihanna, hmm!), not forgetting the Adidas shackle trainers, now Italian designers Dolce and Gabbana infuriate rapper Azaelia Banks by featuring what can only be described as "Mammie" earrings for their Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  Azaelia who is never one to hold back, tweeted her annoyance at the designers, declaring that she will not be investing any of her money in the collection.  Do any of these companies have any type of social and cultural awareness? #answersonapostcard

'Whoever designed that racist ass Dolce and Gabanna collection needs a swift kick in the mouth and a big d--- up the ass,' she tweeted on Saturday.

'I really hate when people do corny, racist things then try to justify it as "art. It's all just really unnecessary. the clothes in the collection were fine without all the "black mammie" imagery' she added.

Dolce & Gabbana representatives said that the imagery used is said to be inspired by their Sicilian roots.

These are the offending earrings.  Would you wear these?
