INTRODUCING: YJ "IN THE MORNING"

Ok, so I get sent a load of new music to post on my blog.  But this morning I got a very plesant surprise when I recieved a tweet message from poet and rapper, YJ.  I wont go into specifics on why I was very much woken up by the material he sent me at 6am, but it garned enough attention for me to post on my blog.  To see what I'm banging on about, have a listen to the audio above.

John Osunkoya aged 22, better known as his stage name YJ Rapper/Poet Is a UK based artist and is destined for greatness. He released his debut promo 'The Catch Up Promo' in the last quarter of 2009, then released 'The Catch Up Mixtape' in the second quarter of 2010.

YJ's style of music varies from Hip-Hop, Grime and Neo Soul, so it's not that easy to place him in a genre. YJ has been a supporting act for American artist Mario twice, once at the O2 Indigo and also and Troxy where he also supported Nigerian artist 2 Face.

He is currently set to release his new promo entitled 'Pre Cum Promo' on the 26th of December which has been highly anticipated by many. With such a diverse display in which YJ delivers his music, great things are bound to happen for him.

INTRODUCING: ADYNKRAH "CONDEMTION SONG"

Every now and then I post on unsigned acts who I believe should have your undivided attention.  Meet Adynkrah, the young musician not only has a beautiful voice, but she has some serious lyrics that should speak to us all. She's toured with US R&B singer Ginuine and UK rapper Sway, now she's stepping into the spotlight for herself. Check out her "Condemtion Song", which samples Bob Marleys "Redemption Song".  Her version addresses certain issues with the UK government, something I'm sure we can all relate too. New US three piece girl group called "Sophia Fresh" are making some serious noise Stateside.  Having collaborated with the award winning singer/producer T-Pain, for their debut single called "The Instant", which features on the soundtrack for the smash hit movie "Step Up 3D".  Having signed to Atlantic records, the girls showcase a funky, dance inspired track in their single "The Instant".  "Sophia Fresh" comprises of Skye, Crystal and Cole Rose, expect to see more from the ladies in the very near future.

London based singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has got MAD SKILLS. He blew me away with this acoustic version of his new single "You Need Me, I Don't Need You".  I was introduced to Ed while listening to him being interviewed and performing on actor Jamie Foxx's radio show , The Foxxhole.  If Ed can manage to impress the members of the Foxxhole (which he did) then this boy is definitely "one to watch".  Like how he fits a slice of "In da Club" and Jamie Foxx/Justin Timberlakes track "Winner" in his acoustic freestyle of his single.  Check out his performance and interview with Jamie.
